Eight honest labels

Not just “cited”. Checked, and labelled.

A citation next to a sentence doesn’t mean the source says it. SlideDeck compares the claim with the evidence and tells you which of these it is.

    Inspected evidence supports the bounded claim.

    Source link and verification time. Never an “infallible” badge.

  • Partially supported

    Evidence supports only part, or a weaker wording.

    Suggested precise wording for you to review.

  • Conflicting

    Credible sources disagree in a material way.

    Explains the disagreement, with dates and definitions.

  • Unsupported

    No inspected evidence supports it.

    Remove it, research it, or mark it unverified.

  • Stale / recheck

    Evidence may no longer be current for this use.

    Recheck before a new delivery or export.

  • User assertion

    Supplied by you, not independently verified.

    Clearly labelled, with its provenance.

  • Calculated

    Derived from identified inputs and a reproducible formula.

    Shows inputs, units, formula, rounding and output.

Calculations

Numbers you can show your working for.

Percentages, totals and per-person figures are calculated from identified inputs with a reproducible formula. Each shows its inputs, units, rounding and result, and the leap that doesn’t follow is called out.

  • “80% of respondents” is never quietly promoted to “80% of everyone”

When a source changes

Change one number. Everything knows.

Slides, script, questions and narration are linked to the claims they depend on. Replace a source or correct a figure and every dependent place is flagged for review, with suggested wording, instead of quietly going stale.

What kinds of sources can I use?
Your own files (documents, PDFs, slides, spreadsheets), links you add, and notes. You can optionally turn on public web research for a project; it’s off unless you ask for it.
Does “Supported” mean the claim is true?
It means the evidence SlideDeck inspected supports the claim as worded, with a link and the time it was checked. It’s never a badge of infallibility: sources can be wrong, and you can always open the passage and judge for yourself.
What happens with a claim that has no evidence?
It’s labelled unsupported. You can remove it, research it, or keep it clearly marked as your own assertion or as an opinion. SlideDeck won’t attach a citation that doesn’t support it.
Are my sources shared with anyone?
No. Sources are only used for your projects. When you share a version, sources you mark private are filtered out, and content from one account is never used as evidence for another.
